Well-known as a big dog with an even bigger heart, leonberger dog are often described to be gentle giants with a friendly and playful deposition. They grow up to be huge dogs, with males measuring up to approximately 31 inches / 78 cm! The breed’s hallmarks include a a medium-long and lion-like waterproof fur coat, lush and wide triangular ears, a very bushy tail and a black facemask which frames a pair of kind dark brown eyes. leonberger dog make excellent watchdogs and all-around workers as they exhibit true intelligence and sound judgment for all tasks they are entrusted with.
