Bring Your Dog To Work Day Is Happening June 21st To Raise Money For Animal Charities

There are many people who aren’t too enthusiastic to work. But that lack of enthusiasm may change with Bring Your Dog To Work Day. While the day may be a great day for all humans in an office environment, it will also be a great day for our furry companions, as it’s a day that will be used to raise money to help combat animal cruelty.

The nationwide event has been an annual thing since 2014, and for this year it will take place on the Friday of June 21st. While you can choose any charity to raise money for, the intention of Bring Your Dog To Work Day is to donate to All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia.

All Dogs Matter is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in and around the London area, as well as finding homes for dogs in need who are from overseas. Animals Asia is an international charity that works towards ending the bear bile trade, as well as the cat and dog trade for food in China and Vietnam.

In addition to offering some exciting new co-workers to your office for the day, Bring Your Dog To Work Day can also prove to be beneficial in bringing about productivity and over all wellbeing.

The site explains:

“Many scientific studies have concluded that the presence of pets can substantially reduce a person’s stress level in the workplace. Increased job satisfaction, team co-operation and morale have all been reported in employees that spend the workday with their pets. So in addition to raising funds, Bring Your Dog To Work Day is likely to boost the productivity and happiness of the employees within your company. And it means hundreds if not thousands of pets around the UK can now go to work alongside their humans!”

While you may have to convince your boss to take part in Bring Your Dog To Work Day, it’s a great cause so many just show them adorable pictures of your doggie to convince them.
