Police in Falmouth, Cornwall are investigating an allegation of animal cruelty involved in the video which shows a young man throwing a dog off a cliff. The video was released on social media and went viral before it was removed on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 1. The person filming the video can be heard laughing while the terrified dog falls into the sea.
The mobile phone footage shows a black and white dog being thrown from a cliff into the ocean. The poor dog can be seen flailing in the air before splashing into the sea below. He then struggles to swim towards the shore and safety. Thankfully, the dog has been checked over and is uninjured.

Local police, investigating the incident, tweeted: “We are aware of an incident of animal cruelty which has been reported in Falmouth. This matter is being investigated but please appreciate that we need to do this effectively without intrusion or inappropriate comments.”
“We’d like to thank everyone who has reported this to us so far and would urge any eyewitnesses or anyone with further information to ring the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018 to help us with our ongoing investigation.”
Please share this senseless act, that caused an animal to suffer, to help raise awareness. I do hope the police catch the people responsible and put them in jail.
