Australian Animal Rescuer Brave Hero Saves Trapped Cat

Australian animal rescuer Nigel Williamson has rescued plenty of pets over the course of his career, but breaking down walls to rescue regretful felines wasn’t a part of his usual 9 to 5 routine.

Williamson, who runs a Melbourne-based company called Nigel’s Animal Rescue and Pest Control, was called to the scene after local emergency services identified an animal wedged between two factory buildings.

Nobody could knew for sure how the cat managed to fit into this small space or, just as importantly, why it decided to try. Rescuers had already tried in vain to rescue the bewildered critter, who was mewing for help, which is why they brought in Williamson to do what he does best.

Williamson used a drill to try to free the animal, which had been stuck at this point for approximately 6 hours. It took another two hours to slowly peel away at the well-built structures, which were very thick and difficult to navigate without destroying the entire structure.

After about 2 hours, the crew was finally able to free the animal, who naturally looked rather disheveled after its terrifying ordeal. The animal is currently being checked out by the local veterinarian, who will hopefully give him or her a clean bill of health soon and reunite it with its owner.
