There is something about watching animals of different species bonding with each other that truly warms their heart. They do not allow their differences to define them. At the end of the day, love is all that matters. Take the cat in this story, for instance. This feline wanted to snuggle and they did not care who they snuggled with. This is commendable.
This story took place at a zoo called Safari Park Dvůr Králové. Those who have visited the Czech Republic may be familiar with this location already. The workers at this location recently learned that cats are able to get along much better with their rhino counterparts than anyone could have ever expected. Jan Žďárek is the person responsible for placing these two together.
What a brilliant zookeeper! Jan came up with this idea a long time ago and never looked back. The cats are used as a means of enriching the rhinos and also avoiding all sorts of rats and mice.
Kočka is the first rescue cat that was placed inside of the rhino enclosure. As you may have expected, Kočka was a little bit scared at first. Who wouldn’t be wary around an animal that is so much larger than them?
It did not take long for the black rescue cat to warm up to the rhino, though. Now, there are three new cats who residing in the enclosure. They are all getting along with the rhinos famously and Tily, Mia and Džinks are happy to be there. Mia is easily the bravest of them all, though. Can you believe that she survived having the tip of her tail bitten off?
While some cats might have harbored a bit of ill will towards the parties responsible for this, Mia is not one of them. She is still more than happy to spend time with the rhinos.
It is as if she instinctively understands them. Mia has grown particularly close to one of the rhinos. She cannot wait to see her pal Emilka every single day.
A video of the two spending time together was captured by the zoo workers and it did not take long for the clip to go viral. We cannot get enough of this cat’s bravery. Even though she has seen the worst side of the rhinos, she is still kind and loving.
